Le retour de Courtney Barnett fait du bien ! C’est que l’Australienne a pris son temps, logiquement, après Things Take Time, Take Time. Le nouveau projet, Creature of Habit, explore les habitudes et les répétitions du quotidien, avec ce superbe regard perçant qu’on lui connait. Plume introspective, voix posée, country rock (un brin pop) réactivé. Sur la pochette, une mante religieuse nous fixe - lien au morceau Mantis - comme celle que l’artiste a un jour découverte sur sa porte ; une simple rencontre en apparence, qui l’a pourtant profondément inspirée pour cet album.

It’s great to have Courtney Barnett back! Understandably, the Australian singer-songwriter has taken her time since Things Take Time, Take Time. Her new project, Creature of Habit, explores the routines of everyday life with that superb, piercing insight we’ve come to expect from her. Introspective lyrics, a calm voice, and a revival of country rock (with a touch of pop). On the cover, a praying mantis stares at us – a nod to the track Mantis – just like the one the artist once found on her door; a seemingly chance encounter, yet one that deeply inspired her for this album.

Après des scènes partagées avec Plantoid, Miel de Montagne ou encore SKINSHIP, Huarinami passe la vitesse supérieure et le prouvera en ouverture de Courtney Barnett!
Based between London and France, Huarinami blends punk, psychedelic grooves and indie rock. Driven by the flute, guitar and vocals of Pauline, and Kevin Siou’s riffs, the duo crafts a raw, hypnotic and incredibly fresh sound. Having shared the stage with Plantoid, Miel de Montagne and SKINSHIP, Huarinami are stepping up a gear and will prove it by opening for Courtney Barnett!
