European Festival Report 2022
A fortnight ago, IQ Magazine and the European festival association Yourope published a report on the festival year 2022 in Europe.
This report looks back at the year 2022, which marked the return of festivals after the pandemic break. This was accompanied by much joy, but also brought some challenges, which are discussed in more detail.
Among other things, the report shows that European festivals are very conscious of climate change and sustainability-related issues, and many have the goal of reducing their emissions. Therefore, the publication brings together various initiatives and tools to make festivals more sustainable. Furthermore, partnerships and sponsorship are addressed, as well as health and safety.
