The PETZI association, located at rue Jacques-Gachoud 1, CH-1700 Fribourg ( hereinafter: “we” ), is a non-profit association under private law and the national federation of more than 200 music venues and festivals in Switzerland. 


As such, we represent music venues and festivals and offer a ticketing service to the organisers of cultural events. In this context, we sell tickets to spectators ( hereinafter: “you”) to attend the aforementioned events through our points of sale or our internet portal www.petzi.ch (hereinafter: the “Website”), on which we also publish content relating to the organisers' events and our association.  


In order to sell you tickets and provide content on our Website, we collect, use and communicate a certain amount of personal data about you. When we talk about personal data, we are referring to personal data within the scope of the new Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). This includes all information that allows us to identify you directly or in combination with other information. In this respect, we are responsible for the treatment of personal data. 


This privacy policy (hereinafter: the “Policy”) sets out the conditions under which we process your data with regard to the collection, use and communication of such personal data. 

WHEN YOU BROWSE OUR WEBSITE

When you browse and interact with our Website, automated data collection technologies are used to collect certain personal data about you in order to understand your actions (e.g., which links were clicked, which pages were viewed), as well as other similar data and statistics (e.g., content response times, download errors, length of time spent on certain pages, type of browser used or location of connection). This information is collected using automated technologies such as cookies.

In order to sell you tickets, we may process the following personal data for the purposes listed below: 

CATEGORIES OF PERSONNAL DATAS

  • Identity data (first name, last name) 
  • Contact details (email address, postal address, telephone number, SwissPass number, etc.) 
  • Ticketing data (purchase history, tickets, related events , payment information, preferences, etc.) 
  • Any other data you provide to us 

PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

  • Establish your tickets and fulfill our contractual obligations 
  • Manage your account 
  • Interact with you and answer your questions 
  • Develop and promote our services and generate statistics in the interest of our members 
  • Pursue our legitimate interests (fraud detection, debt recovery, complaint handling, etc.). 
  • Fulfill our legal obligations 

 

WHEN YOU SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER

When you request to receive our newsletter, we collect your email address in order to send it to you. A confirmation email is sent to your address to verify your consent. This processing is based on your consent, and you can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. 

In accordance with applicable law, we may also send you our newsletter – or information about similar services – if you are one of our customers and have not objected to receiving it. In any case, you may unsubscribe at any time. 

WHEN YOU CONTACT US

When you contact us via our contact page, by email or by any other means, we process the data necessary to interact with you and possibly to provide you with our services (i.e. your first and last name, your email or telephone contact details and any additional data you send us). 

THIRD-PARTY SOCIAL NETWORKS

If you authorize a third-party social network (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to share data with our accounts on that network, we may receive any data that you share publicly on that social network and data that is part of your profile. This may include basic account information (e.g., first name, last name, email address, gender, birthday, place of residence, profile photo, user ID, etc.) and any other data or activities that you authorise the third-party social network to share with us. COMMUNICATION OF PERSONNAL DATA

OUTSOURCING

We may use external service providers acting as subcontractors, particularly for providing our services, managing and/or maintaining the Website, analysing Website traffic, sending messages on our behalf, conducting research, monitoring and analysing the status of our network and the effectiveness of our communication, etc. Personal data is only disclosed to them to the extent necessary to perform the tasks entrusted to them. 

COMMUNICATION TO THIRD PARTIES 

When necessary to sell you tickets and fulfill our obligations, we may share data you provide with event organisers. For example, we may share information related to your personalised tickets for entry verification at the event. 

When you make a payment through one of our payment solution providers, we also transmit the information necessary to identify your purchase to the said provider. That provider is an independent data controller. 

We may also share your personal data with third parties (i) when necessary to fulfill the purposes for which you voluntarily provided it to us, (ii) if you have given your prior consent, or (iii) if we are permitted or required to do so by the law (e.g. upon request from a judicial authority, to assert our legal rights, or to collect a debt with the help of a debt collection service). 

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS 

Personal data is processed in Switzerland and in the following countries: USA (MailChimp). 

If we were to use a foreign service provider located in a country that does not offer an adequate level of data protection according to the competent personal data protection authorities, we will adopt additional measures required by law before any communication of your data abroad, such as signing standard contractual data protection clauses. 

DATA SECURITY

We have implemented industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, taking into account the risks involved, to protect your personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, disclosure, or unauthorised access.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to obtain free information about the personal data stored about you, and, if it appears to be inaccurate or incomplete, the right to have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to object the processing of your personal data, subject to reasons justifying the processing.
