Eine Tanzmusik als Hommage an die Anomalien im Kopf und die biografischen Unregelmässigkeiten. Gerne mit Refrain, denn Dino Brandão ist immer noch ein Cancioneiro, ans Lied verschenkt und an die bittersüsse Symphonie, ein Freund der grossen Geste. Er faltet diese kleine Popmusik-Weltkarte in schiefen Proportionen auf. Erstreicht über die Trommeln von damals, spielt die vernebelten Synthesizer, kickt den Drumcomputer an genüsslich verstrickt nach allen Himmelsrichtungen. Dino Brandão kann das alles sein und tanzt auf den Scherben seines Spiegelbilds.

Anfang November erscheint ihr Debütalbum „Based on a Dream“, das uns in surreale Klangwelten mitnimmt. Mit diesem Album taucht sie in die Sphären des Indie- und Dream-Pop ein und erkundet dabei Traumwelten und Utopien. Wo endet die Realität, wo beginnt die Fantasie und was liegt dazwischen? Diesen Fragen geht sie in ihrer neuen Musik nach, indem sie elektronische und akustische Klänge kombiniert, welche unterschiedliche Dimensionen zusammenbringen lässt.

A combo of experimental elements, electronic sounds, precise sound design and English lyrics, Alexia Thomas' music snatches us away from everyday life to explore unknown worlds. Her debut album “Based on a Dream”, which takes us into surreal worlds of sound, was released at the beginning of November. With this album, she delves into the spheres of indie and dream pop, exploring dream worlds and utopias. Where does reality end, where does fantasy begin and what lies in between?
