Peki Momes is a Turkish artist living in Germany, started to record music byaccident in 2023.Infusing her vocals with a unique blend of intuition anduncompromising authenticity, Peki Momes brings a fresh perspective tothe world ofgroove music. The musical approach of theartist (although it's hard to pin down)canbecategorized into terms likeTurkish disco, dancefloor jazz orTurkish city pop. Under theproduction ofDustin Braun, the project consists ofa team of avant-gard jazz musiciansfrom Germany, andembraces a hybrid sound design consisting of dirty taperecordings, dull ribbon mies and crispy drums. Debut single came out in October,2024 with a 7" vinyl, second single in April, 2025, featuring Turkish version of much loved Estrelar byMarcos Valle, which wassold out on Bandcamp in just three weeks. Being heard on IggyPop's radioshow, Coco Maria's DJ set and many great platforms including BBC6 Music, Peki Momes is currently hosted on Mocambo Records from Hamburg. The agenda of theartist foretells a full LPto be released in Fall 2025. Support TBA
