Nik Bärtsch
Nik Bärtsch (1971 in Zürich) ist ein Schweizer Pianist, Komponist und Bandleader. Er bewegt sich an den Schnittstellen von Jazz, Funk, Minimal Music und moderner Klassik. Neben seiner Arbeit als Musiker unterrichtet Bärtsch an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste und engagiert sich in der Schweizer Kulturszene, unter anderem als Kurator und Mentor für Nachwuchskünstler. Sein Schaffen ist geprägt von einer konsequenten Suche nach Klarheit, Energie und rhythmischer Präzision - eine Musik, die gleichermassen Körper und Geist anspricht.
Nik Bärtsch, born in Zurich in 1971, is a Swiss pianist, composer, and bandleader whose music moves fluidly between jazz, funk, minimalism, and contemporary classical traditions. Alongside his performing career, he teaches at the Zurich University of the Arts and plays an active role in Switzerland’s cultural life, including work as a curator and mentor to young artists. His artistic approach is driven by a relentless pursuit of clarity, energy, and rhythmic focus, resulting in music that engages both the body and the mind.
Basel Nadeshiko Chor
Der Basel Nadeshiko Chor wurde 2011 gegründet mit dem Ziel, japanische Lieder an die ei- genen Kinder weiterzugeben und sie zugleich europäischen Zuhörer*innen näherzubringen. Unter der Leitung von Akira Tachikawa vereint der Chor japanische Frauenstimmen, die so- wohl traditionelle als auch moderne Werke ihres Heimatlandes pflegen und interpretieren.
The Basel Nadeshiko Choir was founded in 2011 with the aim of passing Japanese songs on to their own children while also introducing them to European audiences. Under the direction of Akira Tachikawa, the choir brings together Japanese women’s voices dedicated to performing and interpreting both traditional and contemporary works from their homeland.

NNAVY, bürgerlich Florine Gshaza (1998 in Lausanne), ist eine Schweizer Soul- und R’n’B- Sängerin sowie Songwriterin mit burundischer Herkunft. NNAVY war die erste Schweizer Künstlerin, die eine eigene Folge für die renom- mierten Colours Sessions produzierte - ein Meilenstein, der ihre internationale Bekanntheit unterstrich. Sie hat bereits auf prestigeträchtigen Bühnen wie dem Montreux Jazz Festival, dem Cully Jazz Festival und im Vorprogramm von Lionel Richie performt.
NNAVY, born Florine Gshaza (1998 in Lausanne), is a Swiss soul and R&B singer and songwriter of Burundian descent. She was the first Swiss artist to produce her own episode for the renowned Colours Sessions, a milestone that highlighted her growing international profile. NNAVY has performed on prestigious stages such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Cully Jazz Festival, and as a support act for Lionel Richie.

Was passiert, wenn Klavier und Elektronik auf klanglicher Augenhöhe zusammentreffen, mühelos zwischen Begleitung, solistischen Momenten und Verschmelzung wechseln? Diese Fragen leiteten Ako Amo, ein Kompositions- und Performanceprojekt der Pianistin Olivia Zaugg und des elektronischen Musikers Martin Reck, bei der Arbeit an ihrem Debütalbum. Early Digital Electronics, bildhafte Klavierklänge, Piano Processing und sensibles Sounddesign prägen den Ako Amo Sound.
What happens when piano and electronics meet as equal partners, effortlessly shifting between accompaniment, solo moments, and complete fusion? These questions guided Ako Amo, a composition and performance project by pianist Olivia Zaugg and electronic musician Martin Reck, during the creation of their debut album. Early digital electronics, evocative piano sounds, piano processing, and sensitive sound design shape the distinctive sound of Ako Amo.

Mit einem Hintergrund im Jazz-Schlagzeug und einem Masterabschluss in Musikproduktion überträgt er die Komplexität live gespielter Percussion in elektronische Klanglandschaften, und schafft so Musik, die Körper und Geist gleichermassen bewegt.
Fabinho 44 is an electronic artist shaping groove-driven music through rhythm and texture. Rooted in Brazilian percussion culture and shaped by Berlin's electronic scene, his sound is deeply rhythmic and organic. With a background in jazz drums and a master's degree in music production, he brings the complexity of live percussion into electronic soundscapes, creating music that moves both body and mind.

Online $hopping ist eine junge Band aus Basel, bestehend aus Dshamilja Kalt (Gitarre, Gesang), Jakob Brutsche (Gitarre, Gesang), Benjamin Jaton (Bass) und Patrick Widmer (Schlagzeug). Ihr Sound bewegt sich frei zwischen Noise Rock, Grunge und improvisierter Musik und zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Energie und Experimentierfreude aus. Durch die Kombination von kraftvollen Riffs, spontanen Strukturen und expressivem Gesang schaffen sie Konzerterlebnisse, die das Publikum direkt in ihren Bann ziehen.
Online $hopping is a young band from Basel made up of Dshamilja Kalt (guitar, vocals), Jakob Brutsche (guitar, vocals), Benjamin Jaton (bass), and Patrick Widmer (drums). Their sound moves freely between noise rock, grunge, and improvised music, marked by high energy and a strong spirit of experimentation. By combining powerful riffs, spontaneous structures, and expressive vocals, they create live performances that immediately captivate their audience.

Hildegunn Øiseth ist eine norwegische Trompeterin und Komponistin und gilt als prägende Stimme des skandinavischen Jazz. Ihre Musik verbindet lyrisches Trompetenspiel mit globalen Einflüssen, geprägt durch langjährige internationale Erfahrungen in Afrika und Asien sowie durch Kooperationen mit Künstler:innen wie Bugge Wesseltoft und Mats Eilertsen. Sie leitet ihr eigenes Quartett und ist Mitglied des Trondheim Jazz Orchestra.
Hildegunn Øiseth is a Norwegian trumpeter and composer, widely recognized as a distinctive voice in Scandinavian jazz. Her music combines lyrical trumpet playing with global influences, shaped by extensive international experience in Africa and Asia and collaborations with artists such as Bugge Wesseltoft and Mats Eilertsen. She leads her own quartet and is a member of the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra.

District Five durchbrechen Generationsgrenzen. Math-Rock, Post-Punk, Jazz, Electronica, Filmmusik: Das sind die Eckpfeiler eines neuen Sounds, mit dem die vier Visionäre aus Zürich starre Genregrenzen hinter sich lassen und beginnen, ihre eigene Avantgarde zu formen. Diese Musik wird nicht mehr Jazz genannt, doch das bedeutet auch nicht, dass sie Pop ist. Vielmehr handelt es sich um einen Prozess des Suchens nach neuen Freiheiten, der zugleich ein Beispiel für Vielfalt und für eine langjährige Freundschaft setzt.
District Five break through generational boundaries. Math rock, post-punk, jazz, electronica, and film music form the cornerstones of a new sound with which the four visionaries from Zurich leave rigid genre categories behind and begin to shape their own avant-garde. This music is no longer called jazz, but that does not mean it is pop either. Rather, it represents an ongoing search for new freedoms - one that also stands as an example of diversity and long-standing friendship.

infinideaux ist ein neues, in Basel ansässiges experimentelles Elektronikprojekt von Cécile Meyer. infinideaux produziert chaotische Musik, die zwischen furchteinflössendem Breakcore mit Metalschreien und glitzernden, beschleunigten Popmelodien pendelt, die ein Regenbogen an Emotionen auf uns niederregnen lässt. Die turbulente Ästhetik und das mutige musikalische Code-Switching, das infinideaux kompromisslos umarmt, vermitteln dem Publikum das Gefühl, dass in der Musik alles möglich ist.
infinideaux is a new Basel-based experimental electronic project by Cécile Meyer. The project creates chaotic music that swings between fearsome breakcore infused with metal screams and sparkling, sped-up pop melodies that shower listeners with a rainbow of emotions. Its turbulent aesthetic and fearless musical code-switching, embraced without compromise, leave audiences with the sense that anything is possible in music.

Sie revolutioniert Clubmusik durch die Linse der schwarzen Erfahrung von der Diaspora, für die Diaspora.
JABY is a Basel-based DJ who plays and blends a wide range of Afrocentric music styles. From gqom beats and amapiano to singeli from Dar es Salaam, as well as Afro-Caribbean sounds like shatta and bouyon, she presents a selection of her favorite bass-heavy, groove-driven beats rooted in African musical traditions. She reimagines club music through the lens of the Black diasporic experience - for the diaspora, by the diaspora.

Die Schweizer Harfenistin Giovanna Pessi zählt zu den profiliertesten Interpretinnen Alter Musik und zeitgenössischer Werke für historische Harfen. Besonders bekannt ist sie für ihre Zusammenarbeit mit der Sängerin Susanne Abbuehl und ihre ECM-Aufnahmen, in denen sie die Barockharfe in neue Klangwelten führt. Für dieses Konzert treten Giovanna Pessi und Marco Ambrosini als langjähriges Duo wieder gemeinsam auf. Ambrosini ist einer der führenden Virtuosen auf der Nyckelharpa.
The Swiss harpist Giovanna Pessi is among the most distinguished interpreters of early music and contemporary works for historical harps. She is especially renowned for her collaborations with singer Susanne Abbuehl and for her ECM recordings, in which she leads the Baroque harp into new sonic territories. For this concert, Giovanna Pessi and Marco Ambrosini reunite as a long-standing duo. Ambrosini is one of the leading virtuosos of the nyckelharpa.

Éna Vera ist eine aufstrebende Sängerin mit französisch-spanischen Wurzeln, deren Repertoire sich zwischen Alter Musik, Volkslied und zeitgenössischem Ausdruck bewegt. Mit ihrer klaren Stimme und der Suche nach neuen Verbindungen zwischen Tradition und Moderne arbeitet sie an interdisziplinären Projekten und bringt dabei Einflüsse aus mediterraner Folklore ebenso ein wie klassisches Vokaltraining.
Éna Vera is an emerging singer of French-Spanish descent, whose repertoire spans early music, folk songs, and contemporary expression. With her clear voice and a quest to forge new connections between tradition and modernity, she works on interdisciplinary projects, drawing on influences from Mediterranean folklore as well as classical vocal training.

Aino Salto, geboren in Frankreich, aufgewachsen in Leipzig und heute in Bern lebend, ist eine vielseitige Musikerin. Aino Salto schöpft musikalisch das Projekt aus Flügelhorn, Kontrabass, Keys, Schlagzeug und einer Stimme, die zwischen Zartheit und eruptiver Kraft oszilliert. Gemeinsam mit erfahrenen Mitmusiker:innen wie Paul Butscher, Luzius Schuler, Tabea Kind, Dave Flütsch und Sonia entfaltet Aino Salto eine Musik voller Energie, Aufrichtigkeit und Eigenwilligkeit. Ihr Ziel ist es, Songs zu schaffen, die trotz aller Krisen nicht resignieren, sondern Hoffnung und Lebendigkeit vermitteln.

Her project draws its sound from flugelhorn, double bass, keys, drums, and a voice that oscillates between delicate sensitivity and eruptive power. Together with experienced collaborators such as Paul Butscher, Luzius Schuler, Tabea Kind, Dave Flütsch and Sonia, Aino Salto creates music full of energy, sincerity, and individuality. Her aim is to craft songs that, despite all crises, do not give in to despair but convey hope and vitality.

Yassin Mahdi ist in der irakischen Hauptstadt Bagdad geboren. Aufgrund des Krieges fliehen seine Eltern mit seiner kleinen Schwester und ihm aus dem Irak und kommen in die Schweiz. Hier erlebt er als Person of Color Erfahrungen des Otherings. So überrascht es nicht, dass es in seinem Musikprojekt 3YOONI um die kritische Durchleuchtung von Konzepten wie Identität, Sprache, Rassismus und Orientalismus geht. Musikalisch treffen dabei elektronische Beats und Synthesizer auf traditionell arabische Rhythmen, eine Oud und verträumten Gesang in irakisch-arabischer Sprache.
Yassin Mahdi was born in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. Due to the war, his parents fled the country with him and his younger sister, eventually arriving in Switzerland. There, he experienced the realities of being Othered as a person of color. It is therefore no surprise that his music project, 3YOONI, critically explores concepts such as identity, language, racism, and Orientalism. Musically, electronic beats and synthesizers meet traditional Arabic rhythms, the oud, and dreamy vocals in Iraqi Arabic.
