Le dernier album de The Vaccines, "Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations", annonce la réapparition d’un son plus rétro pour les dandys anglais, un retour aux sources de leurs inspirations entre pop énergisante et rock mélodieux. Sur la cover, vintage à souhait, on se retrouve passager d’une voiture s’égarant sur une route digne d’un road-trip américain. Après le départ du guitariste Freddie Cowan en 2023 pour un projet solo, le groupe semble replonger dans une nostalgie assumée, comme un hommage nécessaire au passé.

The latest album from The Vaccines, "Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations", announces the reappearance of a more retro sound for the English dandies, a return to the roots of their inspirations between energetic pop and melodious rock. On the cover, vintage as it gets, we find ourselves passengers in a car wandering down a road worthy of an American road-trip. After the departure of guitarist Freddie Cowan in 2023 for a solo project, the band seems to be slipping back into a nostalgic mood, like a necessary tribute to the past.

Kaktus Einarsson a déjà une belle carrière à son actif avec la formation Fufanu. Il peut notamment se targuer d’avoir ouvert les soirées pour Radiohead et Red Hot Chilli Peppers - pas des moindres, donc. Né à Reykjavik, l’artiste développe son projet solo dès 2021 avec "Kick The Ladder", une émulsion de styles revisitée à la sauce kaktus, une indie-electro-alternative-pop-rock tellement indéfinissable qu’on en redemande sans se lasser.

Kaktus Einarsson already has a fine career under his belt with the band Fufanu. He has opened for Radiohead and Red Hot Chilli Peppers - no less! Born in Reykjavik, the artist has been developing his solo project since 2021 with "Kick The Ladder", an emulsion of styles revisited with a kaktus twist, an indie-electro-alternative-pop-rock so indefinable that you can't get enough of it.
