Between his highly acclaimed solo career and his work with the influential Ezra Collective, Joe Armon-Jones is at the epicenter of the London underground scene. The virtuoso keyboardist blends elements of dub, hip-hop, funk/soul and jazz in his music and has become a key figure of Londons new crossover Jazz wave, while collaborating with musicians like Obongjayar, the late Tony Allen, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Nubya Garcia, Greentea Peng, Moses Boyd and Mala to name a few.
The evening will be opened with an intimate solo performance by Zurich based singer Naïma!
We are excited to have this installment as a continuation of last Octobers Jazz-Wave at Zentralwäscherei in collaboration with Noise Reduction.
