« Décoloniser le dancefloor » est une performance à l’image de son interprète : incarnée, complexe, percutante, drôle, résiliente, engagée, politique. Cette conférence-dansée constitue un outil pour penser les systèmes qui façonnent nos rapports sociaux quotidiens. Racisme, privilèges, dominations, résistance, création, communauté(s), ces concepts fondamentaux y sont disséqués sous une loupe décoloniale acerbe, mobile, dans une mise en mouvement littérale qui rythme la parole.
Au croisement de plusieurs disciplines et identités, Habibitch est un·e artiste-activiste queer-fem né·e en Algérie et basé·e à Paris, se construisant une pratique artistique aussi éveillée que sa pratique politique. “Danser sa politique et politiser sa danse” est la punchline de vie de cet·te artiste couteau-suisse.

"Decolonize the dancefloor" is a performance that can be described as embodied, complex, percussive, funny, resilient, committed, and political, just like its performer. This dance-conference is a tool for thinking about the systems that shape our daily social relationships. Racism, privilege(s), domination(s), resistance, creation, community(ies), these fundamental concepts are dissected under an acerbic, mobile, decolonial magnifying glass, with the artist’s movements giving rhythm to the speech.
At the crossroads of several disciplines and identities, Habibitch is a queer-fem artist-activist born in Algeria and based in Paris, building themself an artistic practice as awake as their political practice. "Dancing her politics and politicizing her dance" is the punchline of this multifaceted artist.
