Sonda est un événement au cours duquel Castiel transforme son corps en sonde dans le but de découvrir d’autres systèmes de communication. Elle le compare à ce moment spécial au cours duquel la chenille se transforme en papillon. Ou encore ce moment où, sur une autre planète, nos vocabulaires ne nous servent soudainement plus à rien.
Castiel Vitorino Brasileiro est née au Brésil, dans une famille aux origines afro-bantoues. Son art est multiple, il inclut la photographie, l’écriture, la création vidéo, la danse, la peinture et l’installation. Elle possède également un master en psychologie clinique. Par sa pratique artistique et académique, Castiel étudie le principe de Transmutation en tant que destinée inévitable. Pour cela, elle s’incorpore et s’immerge dans l’ontologie bantoue, prenant la guérison et le care comme un moment de liberté éphémère. Castiel étudie et construit actuellement une spiritualité et une ascendance interspécifiques.
Cette performance est une première en coproduction avec la FdS, présentée par Castiel à l’issue de sa résidence à La Becque.

Sonda is an event where Castiel transforms her body into a probe in order to discover other communication systems. She compares it to the specific moment when the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. Or, when on another planet, our vocabularies become useless.
Castiel Vitorino Brasileiro was born in Brazil and belongs to an AfroBantu family lineage. Her art is multifaceted, including photography, writing, video making, dancing, painting and installation. She also has a master's degree in Clinical Psychology.
With her artistic and academic practice, Castiel studies the principle of Transmutation as an unavoidable destiny. For that, she incorporates and immerses herself in the Bantu ontology, taking healing and care as an ephemeral moment of freedom. Currently, Castiel studies and builds interspecific spirituality and ancestry.
This performance is a premiere, co-produced by the FdS, presented by Castiel at the end of her residency at La Becque.
