Preoccupations – ehemals Viet Cong - melden sich mit neuem Album zurück, welches auf den herrlich deskriptiven Namen New Material hört. Düster klingen Preoccupations darauf wie eh und je und bedienen sich an den Industrial-Einflüssen der Postpunk-Gründerzeit in den frühen Achtzigern. "It's an ode to depression" sagt ihr Sänger Matt Flegel, transformiert das Unheil der Welt in kalte Wut und wirft es der Meute direkt vor die Füsse. Die Band aus Calgary kommt im neuen Jahr auf Europatour und lädt am 15. Februar zum kollektiven Durchschütteln im Sommercasino!
